Job summary

Stantec in New Zealand seeks a Contracts Manager to lead delivery in water projects, manage scope, schedule, budget and risk, and coordinate with clients, sub-contractors and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the delivery of water, wastewater and stormwater projects, including management of scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk.
• Undertake site inspections, field investigations, feasibility assessments and constructability reviews.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including cost estimates, tender documentation, contract administration records and reports.
• Assist with tender evaluations and provide support during procurement and construction phases.
• Monitor project financial performance, including tracking, forecasting and reporting of construction activities.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, regulators and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve technical and project delivery issues with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support and share knowledge with junior team members.
• Ensure meetings, actions and records are maintained per requirements.
• Deliver work in line with quality, health, safety and environmental requirements, proactively managing risks.
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required.

Our Contracts Managers provide our team and clients with the assurance of delivery through one of the most critical phases of project delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement and construction phases, with efforts expected to support our clients in the engagement and management of physical works contractors.

Day to day tasks include, but are not limited to

• Ensure project meetings, actions, records and documentation are maintained in accordance with project and client requirements.
• Deliver work in accordance with company quality, health, safety and environmental requirements, while proactively managing project risks.
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required.
