Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking District Nurses to deliver high-quality community healthcare. You will work across a broad clinical scope including wound management, IV therapies, palliative, and chronic condition management, with a focus on enabling care at home.

The role supports autonomous practice within a multidisciplinary team. Hours are predominantly Monday to Friday, 8.00am–4.30pm, with up to one weekend per month and occasional afternoon shifts.

Formación

• Acute and chronic wound management.
• Acute assessment skills, including recognizing and responding to clinical deterioration.
• Administration and management of IV therapies.
• Catheter management.
• Holistic assessment to support safety and independence at home.

Responsabilidades

• Provide community-based nursing care with autonomous decision-making.
• Manage a varied caseload across acute and chronic conditions.
• Utilise clinical judgement to prevent hospital admissions and support early discharge.
• Deliver person-centred care and support whānau to improve quality of life.
