Job summary

Oceanbridge Shipping Ltd is seeking a skilled communications professional to manage content across social channels, write member-focused copy, and drive email marketing. You’ll attend events to capture stories and create content for our leadership campaigns and podcast, while ensuring the brand stays sharp and performance is tracked.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in comms/marketing, strong writing, and hands-on social media and email experience; Canva and media editing skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years in comms, marketing or content.
• Clear, punchy writing with no corporate waffle.
• Hands-on social media and email marketing experience (HubSpot bonus).
• Ability to juggle several requests and hit deadlines.
• Curiosity to reach out to members for stories.
• Bonus points for Canva or video editing skills, podcast or event experience.

NZ Trade Group backs over 500 electrical businesses across Aotearoa with commercial partnerships, training, and our business software, Katipolt. There's always something happening: new partners, conferences or galas, training around the country and member wins worth shouting about.

We need someone to make sure it all gets said well, and said on time.

What you'll be doing

Running our content calendar across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and the website

Writing the member comms, announcements, articles and member success stories

Getting out to events and into the field to capture photos, quotes and content

Building email campaigns and landing pages in HubSpot

Helping with leadership content and our nationally ranked podcast, The Puzzle Factory

Keeping our brand sharp and reporting on what's working

What you'll bring

2 to 4 years in comms, marketing or content

Writing that's clear and punchy, with no corporate waffle

Hands-on social media and email marketing experience (HubSpot is a bonus)

The organisation to juggle several people's requests and still hit deadlines

Curiosity: you'd rather ring a member for the story than wait for it to land in your inbox
