Job Description

Are you someone who thrives on connecting with people? Do you stay friendly, approachable, and calm, even when the pace picks up? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

At Pullman Auckland, we’re looking for a Part Time Communications Agent. With one foot in the Pullman ecosystem and another in listening to guest needs, you will be the control centre for the guest experience. We’re after someone who listens attentively, notices the little things, and approaches every task with confidence and a “can-do” spirit.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Coordinate all inbound phone calls within the hotel
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • A good phone manner as you will be the main point of contact for all incoming inquiries in the hotel
  • This role also assists the wider front office team with reservations and group preparations; flexibility and willingness to roll up your sleeves are essential
Qualifications

In addition to talent and attitude, you should have:

  • Experience working as a receptionist in a hotel environment
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand for at least 1 year
  • Passion for interacting with people and creating connections through a friendly, enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to create connections with guests via a well-mannered and enthusiastic approach
  • Computer illiterate (experience with Opera Cloud & Resaweb is a bonus)
  • Full NZ Driver’s License (advantageous, not essential)
  • Ability to work a rotating roster across 7 days including weekends and public holidays
