HVAC Commissioning Manager – Christchurch

About Us

Our client is a privately owned HVAC Commissioning business that is growing at a rapid pace. A well organised organisation that prides itself on its client base and culture with some long-term clients who present unique projects.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you can take the front foot providing guidance and mentorship to the team and ensuring quality service is provided to all clients. Working as part of a team you will be hands on testing and have the ability to provide detailed reports on your findings.

In this role, you will:

  1. Provide leadership and guidance to the field commission team.
  2. Support the Managing Director in various aspects of the business.
  3. Test, adjust, balance, and troubleshoot building air conditioning systems.
  4. Ensure HVAC systems are optimised for thermal comfort and operational efficiency.
  5. Work collaboratively to meet project specifications and deadlines.
  6. Produce detailed commissioning reports for clients.
  7. Take ownership for Health and Safety and adhere to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the commissioning of HVAC air and water systems.
  2. Contribute to the wider team and business culture in a positive manner.
  3. Manage clients’ expectations and that of key stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  1. Previous management or leadership experience.
  2. Mechanical Engineering degree or qualification.
  3. Ideally a CSA or NABB qualification.
  4. Excellent written communication skills and proficiency in Excel and Word.
  5. Strong organisational skills and adaptability.
