We are seeking a qualified or experienced Commercial HVAC Installation Site Foreman to supervise and coordinate HVAC installation activities across commercial construction sites. The successful candidate will lead installation teams, coordinate materials and equipment, interpret HVAC plans and specifications, and ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate HVAC installation teams carrying out the fabrication, repair and installation of metal HVAC products, components and equipment.
  • Read and interpret HVAC plans, drawings and specifications to determine installation requirements, measurements, materials and work sequences.
  • Allocate daily tasks to HVAC installers and fabrication workers and monitor progress against project schedules.
  • Coordinate the preparation, fabrication, modification and repair of sheet metal HVAC components and associated products.
  • Check measurements and ensure HVAC components are accurately cut, formed, fitted and installed according to drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee the installation and positioning of HVAC equipment, ductwork and associated metal components.
  • Inspect completed and ongoing work to ensure correct measurements, alignment, workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate the supply, delivery and availability of HVAC materials, tools and equipment required on site.
  • Coordinate HVAC installation activities with other construction trades to minimise delays and site conflicts.
  • Identify installation issues and coordinate appropriate adjustments or rectification work where required.
  • Supervise repair, alteration and replacement work involving existing HVAC systems and components.
  • Monitor work progress and provide updates to project management regarding completed works, materials and any site issues.
  • Ensure workers follow site safety requirements and safe working practices when handling materials, machinery, tools and HVAC equipment.
  • Assist with estimating labour, materials and timeframes for HVAC installation projects.
  • Liaise with project managers, contractors, site supervisors and other trades to coordinate the sequencing and completion of HVAC works.
About You
  • Proven relevant experience (at least 2 years) or, Minimum of a relevant NZQF Level 6 Diploma, or any Bachelor Degree
  • Be available to work on the weekends when required
  • Be available to work during night shift when required
  • Ability to coordinate workers, materials, equipment and multiple site activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to identify problems on site and coordinate practical solutions.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with project managers, contractors and other construction trades.
  • Must hold a valid New Zealand work visa, or be a New Zealand citizen or resident
