Job summary

Christchurch Cleaning Services is hiring three full-time commercial cleaners to join our Wellington team. You will work a roster, including weekends, with a minimum of 30 hours per week and duties such as rubbish removal, cleaning toilets, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and floor maintenance.

No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided; a Ministry of Justice Check and a pre-employment drug test are required. Local NZ residents will be prioritized during shortlisting.

Qualifications

• Ministry of Justice Check and Pre-Employed Drug Test required.
• Priority to local NZ residents/citizens; visa status for temporary visa holders considered.

Responsibilities

• Rubbish removal, toilet cleaning, sweeping and mopping, dusting.
• Buffing, polishing and floor maintenance including re-waxing and polishing floors.
• Apply acids and solvents to remove stains and dirt on surfaces.
• Clean floors and surfaces to ensure area is free of dust and rubbish.
• Operate commercial vacuum cleaners for cleaning floors and work areas.
• Other relevant cleaning tasks as required.

Job description

We are looking for 3 x full-time (30 hours min/week, working from Monday to Sunday) commercial cleaners to join our team on a Permanent basis. The location of work will be within the Wellington region, you will be working a roster hence flexibility is important in this role; you should be available to work on weekends.

Commercial Cleaner is required to:

• Rubbish removal, toilet cleaning, sweeping and mopping, dusting
• Buffing, polishing, and topical floor coating maintenance including re-waxing and polishing floor
• Applying relevant acids and solvents to remove stains and dirt
• Cleaning, dusting, and mopping floors and surfaces, ensuring that the area is clean of dust, dirt, and rubbish.
• Operating commercial vacuum cleaners to clean floors and work areas
• Other relevant tasks

We offer a competitive salary of $25.00/hour, and it could be negotiated to up to $30.00 per hour depending on your personal attributes and experiences.

Qualifications:

No previous experience or qualification will be required, as training is offered on the job.

Ministry of Justice Check and Pre-Employed Drug Test required.
