Social sciences

Full-time, permanent, start date: January 2026

We are an innovative senior secondary school seeking a passionate social science teacher (please state your strengths), leader and learner to join our social sciences department. Business studies would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach social sciences to senior students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide rich, authentic learning experiences.
• Demonstrate a commitment to student learning and engagement; ideally use NCEA to identify and evidence student learning.
• Lead and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports personal and academic success.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching senior students.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and a willingness to contribute to department initiatives.
• Experience using NCEA to identify and evidence student learning; alignment with senior secondary assessment practices.
