Job summary

Waitemata District Health Board seeks an experienced colorectal surgeon to join the General Surgery Department as an SMO. You will perform outpatient clinics, elective and acute surgeries, and endoscopy procedures while contributing to the growth of the robotic colorectal program.

The candidate should have FRACS in General Surgery with at least two years post-fellowship colorectal training. CSSANZ membership is desirable and colonoscopy credentialing is preferred.

Qualifications

• FRACS in General Surgery is required.
• Two years of post-fellowship training in colorectal surgery.
• Membership of CSSANZ is highly desirable.
• Colonoscopy credentialling/recognition is needed.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinics and elective and acute theatre sessions.
• Endoscopy sessions to support GI services.
• On-call duties in accordance with the After Hours On-Call Agreement.
• Assist with grading referrals and supporting gynecology procedures (endometriosis).
• Contribute to developing robotic colorectal program.
