Job summary

Randstad New Zealand seeks two Marine Biosecurity Ambassadors based in the Warkworth area to educate boaties and visitors about protecting Hauraki Gulf. The role is part-time, outdoor, rostered around weekends and public holidays, with start on 3 December 2026 and finish by 26 April 2027. Training will be provided, and reliable transport is essential.

You will operate in coastal locations, engaging the public on biosecurity, conservation, and environmental protection with a local community focus.

Qualifications

• Local to Warkworth or surrounds (Warkworth, Mahurangi, Matakana).
• People skills: friendly, approachable, confident in conversations.
• Reliability with transport and ability to work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Educate boaties and visitors at waterfront points on preventing spread of pests and diseases.
• Work in pairs, rosters around the region, mostly Fridays, weekends and public holidays.
• Start 3 December 2026 and potentially finish 26 April 2027; training provided.
