Fabrum in Christchurch seeks an experienced CNC Machinist with expertise in both milling and turning to support growing workloads in our machine shop. This is a key role delivering high-precision components for cryogenic technology and external contract work.

You will set up, prove out and optimise CNC programs, perform first-off and sample inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives ensuring quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Five years CNC machining experience producing precision components.
• Experience setting up, proving out, and optimising CNC programs for first-off and batch production.
• Experience with multi-axis milling machines and lathes.
• Commitment to safe working practices and compliance.

Responsabilités

• Produce high-quality components for cryogenic technology solutions.
• Manufacture Fabrum products and external contract components.
• Conduct first-off and sample inspections and verify dimensions.
• Develop CNC programs and machining strategies for new components.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for machining efficiency.
• Undertake machining work across multiple Christchurch sites as required.
