Job summary

All Trades in Napier, New Zealand is seeking a CNC Router Operator. You will set up, operate, and monitor CNC router machines, load materials, and ensure quality within schedules. A minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required, with strong ability to read drawings and CAD files.

About the role:

• Starting wage of $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
• Permanent contract.
• Minimum guranteed 30 hours per week.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC router machines safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials and finished components.
• Select, install, and change cutting tools, router bits and other tooling as required.
• Enter, load, or adjust CNC programs and machine parameters in accordance with job specifications.
• Set machine datum points, offsets, tool lengths and cutting parameters.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain accuracy, quality and productivity.
• Identify and respond to machine alarms, faults, tooling issues or production problems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, CAD files, cutting lists and job specifications.
• Measure and mark materials where required before machining.
• Cut, drill, route, shape and machine components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Optimise material usage and nesting to minimise waste where applicable.
• Complete production work within required timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist with other manufacturing and production duties as required.
