Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support licensed nursing personnel in delivering routine patient care. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, recording vital signs, and providing compassionate assistance in a compliant healthcare environment.

The CNA must be a graduate of an approved CNA program, hold current Florida CNA certification, and maintain BLS certification. Prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
• Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtain and record vital signs and patient weights in a timely manner and report findings to the nurse.
• Administer simple treatments and/or tests according to established policies and procedures.
• Provide post-procedure care to patients in an efficient, compassionate, and empathetic manner.
• Initiate patient care activities consistent with the nursing plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation, and personal hygiene.
• Observe patients and promptly notify the nurse of any changes in condition.
• Collect specimens and assist with patient care procedures as directed.
