Job summary

HCLTech in Auckland seeks an experienced Software Developer to design, build, and support scalable cloud-native applications. You will apply Java-based backend development, AWS cloud services, and a microservices architecture to deliver secure, resilient enterprise solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement IaC with CloudFormation and CDK, develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and deploy containerized apps using Docker on OpenShift.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Front-end development with React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Cloud-native solutions on AWS; IaC with CloudFormation and CDK.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions; Docker containerization.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL; scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
• Build and support modern front-end applications using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using AWS CloudFormation and AWS CDK.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, reliable deployments.
