Our consultants act as trusted advisors, providing thought leadership and expertise in cloud transparency, cost efficiency, governance, and cultural change.

This mid-level role offers training and support to advance your FinOps career. You will have access to top training platforms, extensive team experience, and practical opportunities to develop your FinOps skills.

As a Cloud Financial Consultant, you will support customer engagements by assessing needs, developing and implementing a CFM roadmap, and guiding customers to meet their FinOps goals.

Our offices are in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. We value in-person collaboration but also support flexible remote work for work/life balance. You and your team will decide what works best!

What you’ll do

Currently, as Cloud Financial Consultant, your focus will be on:

• Being a trusted advisor for managing and maturing our customer's CFM practice
• Guiding and inspiring customers to achieve their cloud management goals
• Leading workshops, training sessions, business process design, and governance content creation
• Participating in continuous improvement of our products and service delivery
• Owning the end-to-end customer outcome

As an agile company, we adapt roles to meet evolving customer, technology, and stakeholder needs.

What you’ll bring

Required experience:

• An aspiring Cloud Native professional inspired by cloud benefits, emerging tech, automation, and fostering a FinOps culture
• Exposure to public cloud financial and technical concepts and delivery models
• 2+ years' experience in a customer-facing or end-user role, e.g., Software Asset Management, Capacity Management, IT Asset Management, or IT governance
• Understanding of business and commercial concepts like corporate structure, Capex/Opex reporting, commercial agreements, budgeting, and planning

Nice to have:

• Experience with Cloud Native and third-party cloud management tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud cost and usage optimization and governance
• 1+ years of experience with cloud commercials and AWS or Azure
• Experience managing client engagements or cloud estates for end-user companies
