Job summary

Toi Ohomai's Te Puna Whaiora department seeks a Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technician to support nursing and health education at the Mokoia/Rotorua campus. This permanent 20-hour-per-week role starts 11 January 2027 and involves preparing and supporting classes in Clinical Skills Lab, Simulation Unit and Science Lab.

You will work with academic staff to coordinate simulated learning activities, maintain equipment, and assist across campuses in the Bay of Plenty.

Qualifications

• Experience in a health-related role.
• Interest in education and the use of technology in learning.
• Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Understanding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural practice.
• Leadership capability and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
