Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites a registered Clinical Psychologist to join our Infant, Child, Adolescent, and Family Service (ICAFS) in the Wellington region. This permanent full-time role focuses on assessment and treatment for 0–18-year-olds and their families, within a multidisciplinary team and alongside a residential care facility.

The successful applicant will provide comprehensive psychology services, including complex assessments, trauma-informed care, and clinical coaching,

Qualifications

• Be a registered psychologist with a minimum 3 years+ experience
• Experience working with children in care
• Experience in complex mental health assessment and treatment
• Experience in child/adolescent mental health
• Interest in developmental trauma
• Interest in education delivery
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• NZ registration as a Clinical Psychologist (eligible for practicing certificate)

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions
• Take part in risk identification and management
• Complete a range of psychological assessments at initial assessment points
• Work with a local residential care facility providing clinical assessment, consultation, education and therapeutic support
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the team and with external partners
