Clinical Pathologist – Veterinary

Awanui Veterinary (formerly Gribbles Veterinary) is seeking a Clinical Pathologist to join our team in New Zealand. We operate in four major cities: Auckland, Christchurch, Palmerston North, and Dunedin. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from Auckland or Dunedin and support a team of 17 pathologists. A generous relocation package is offered to international candidates, allowing you to enjoy New Zealand's stunning landscapes, outdoor activities, and vibrant cities.

Our team of 17 veterinary pathologists works across four laboratories, providing diagnostic services for livestock, companion animals, universities, research facilities, zoos, and wildlife organizations.

Driven by a commitment to innovative laboratory services and excellence, we are expanding and seeking a passionate clinical pathologist to join us in delivering top-tier veterinary diagnostics.

About the role | Mō te tūranga:

Your work will involve evaluating and interpreting results across various disciplines, including haematology, cytology, clinical chemistry, endocrinology, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and molecular diagnostics. You will also provide specialist advice and phone consultations to veterinary clients.

About you | He kōrero mōu:
  • Veterinary degree suitable for New Zealand registration.
  • Experience in diagnostic veterinary pathology.
  • Board certification by the ACVP/ECVCP or fellowship of the ANZCVS is preferred, but board-eligible or highly qualified applicants will also be considered.
  • A demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality pathology services.
