Main duties of the job

This role would suit an Optometrist who has 12 months post-registration experience and holds current GOC registration. You will be willing to expand your horizons and take the leap into the clinical side of optometry.Our Optometrists provide independent eye care and make assessments on the need for cataract surgery ensuring patients understand the risks and benefits and providing reassurance throughout.If successful, we will support your professional development. We can potentially offer training in YAG laser; this is dependant on the sites activity and what services are offered in the area.

Experience
  • A GOC registered Optometrist with at least 12 months post-registration experience
  • Motivated to develop with a keen interest in the clinical side of optometry
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of clinical governance and ability to provide the highest quality of care to all patients
