Job description

Amberwood Care Limited is an operate in the aged residential care industry. We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Clinical Manager to work at our Massey facility.

About the job

As a Clinical Leader you will be an essential part of our management team working closely with the Facility Manager. Your role will be to ensure efficient, effective and sustainable clinical, financial and operational viability of the facility.

Using your proven abilities and advanced knowledge you will provide leadership to support our clinical and care staff in high quality delivery of care to our residents.

This is a medium sized facility, it has 68 beds in it, these are dual purpose rest home / hospital level beds.

This is a full-time, 40 hour a week role. There is an on-call component.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent care that reflects the individuality and rights of our residents, promoting choice, respect, and dignity.
• Lead and inspire our clinical team to deliver optimal care to our residents. This will include management of staff rosters.
• Develop, coach, and mentor the clinical team to foster continuous improvement and critical thinking.
• Build strong connections and relationships with our residents and their families.
• Empowered to make critical decisions regarding resident care.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with experience in Aged Care.
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate with the New Zealand Nursing Council.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a team leader, team coordinator, Clinical Coordinator or Clinical Manager
• Empathy and passion for Aged Care.
• Proven leadership skills in building and managing effective teams.
• Experience in managing sector standards and audit compliance is highly desirable.
• Highly tuned problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent service.
