Are you a passionate clinical leader ready to drive meaningful change in primary mental health? We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead – Primary Mental Health to join our team to help us deliver innovative, equitable, and culturally responsive mental health services across the Waikato region.

As our Clinical Lead – Primary Mental Health, you will:

  • Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of our primary mental health programmes and initiatives.
  • Champion equity and access, ensuring whānau are at the centre of everything we do.
  • Collaborate across the health system and community partners to break down barriers and deliver integrated, person-centred care.
  • Oversee programme delivery, contract management, and quality improvement activities.
  • Support and guide a dedicated team, fostering a culture of partnership, innovation, and excellence.
He kōrero mōu: About you
  • A health professional qualification (as per the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 or Social Work Registration Act 2003).
  • A tertiary qualification in Health, Social Services, or similar (postgraduate qualification in Mental Health is preferred).
  • At least 5 years’ clinical experience, ideally in primary care and/or mental health.
  • Proven leadership and service delivery experience.
  • Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Tikanga Māori, and a commitment to health equity.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and innovation in mental health care.
