Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in Acute Mental Health. You will be working in a dynamic environment, providing opportunities to learn and develop therapeutic and systemic skills.

Within the ward environment, you will develop skills and expertise in applying psychology at individual, team, and group levels. A strong interest in pursuing consultation and leadership roles and developing assessment and practice skills within a group context is desired.

You will be well-supported through regular clinical and managerial supervision and training to develop professionally and personally. Many CPD opportunities are available, including specialist supervision groups.

Main duties of the job

You will support the core aims of the service, providing psychological assessment and treatment, formulations, and consultation to the multi-disciplinary team. You will also provide evidence-based group interventions and reflective practice/case discussions for staff.

As a qualified practitioner, you will offer supervision, advice, and support to assistant psychologists and trainee CAPS.
