Job description

Oversee all clinical aspects of this large care home facility with a mix of Rest Home, Hospital and Dementia beds. Based north of Auckland in a beautiful coastal location with easy access to the city but a slower pace of life.

About The Role

This is an exciting and varied role where no two days are the same. You will be involved in the day to day running of the care home. Grow and develop your leadership and clinical skills in a supportive environment. Build great long term relationships with the both the residents and their families, whilst ensuring they receive the best care. Lead and train the nurses and HCA's to see them thrive under your guidance.

What You Have To Do

• Provide clinical leadership to the RN's and HCA's
• Deliver and promote best clinical practice.
• Assist other staff to manage clients with complex needs.
• Supervise and monitor day to day performance of staff.
• Provide formal and informal training.
• Deputise for the Manager when required
• Lead CareerForce assessments
• Equally share on call responsibilities with the manager
  
  

Skills And Experience

• Must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC
• Excellent clinical skills in the Aged Care setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships
• Well-honed planning and organisation skills
• Proven leadership and a team player
• Ability to manage, change and promote best practice
• Skills in teaching or coaching others
• Excellent written and communication skills
