We are seeking a talented individual to join our Commercial team at Marsh. This role will be based in Nelson office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days in the office.

As a Client Executive, you will manage a portfolio of key client accounts to ensure consistently high-quality customer service. The position also contributes to the company’s profit objectives by managing and achieving revenue and expense budgets, while supporting the attainment of the Practice and Team’s business plans and objectives.

We will count on you to:

  • Understand and meet clients’ insurance and risk management needs.

  • Lead renewal and broking strategies to achieve performance and retention goals.

  • Support team business plans and ensure high client service standards.

  • Maximise profitability through efficient practices, billing, and expense control.

  • Build strong client and insurer relationships, monitoring organisational changes.

  • Oversee the timely and accurate production of client-related documentation, including invoices, policy wordings, and renewal reports.

  • Oversee complex claims and assist in settlements.

  • Adhere to company quality standards, policies, and relevant legislation.

  • Stay updated on insurance products and industry developments.

  • Cover for other Principals as needed and perform additional duties.

What you need to have:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Advice (Level 5) in general insurance

  • Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry

  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Possess good working knowledge of all aspects of Insurance and other relevant legislation
