At Trustees Corporate Supervision, we aim to be the supervisor and trustee of choice in the New Zealand market. As a market-leading licensed supervisor, we are trusted by investors to do the right thing every time. Our dedicated team of experienced industry professionals deliver superior first-class service to our clients. We go beyond compliance to provide a value-added proposition by offering a tailored and flexible approach to meet the supervision needs of our clients. Their success is our priority. Proudly supervising more than $160 billion in investors' funds, our mission as New Zealand’s leading financial markets supervisor and trustee is to protect investors' assets.

About the Role

At Trustees Executors, we protect the interests of investors by providing independent supervision and assurance across New Zealand's financial services sector. As a Client Assurance Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver on this responsibility. Working closely with the Client Assurance Manager and the wider Supervision team, you will assess the effectiveness of client control environments, identify risks, monitor remediation activities, and contribute to a robust risk-based supervision framework. You will support assurance reviews, monitoring visits, thematic reviews, and regulatory reporting while building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in risk, compliance, audit, assurance, or financial services who enjoys analysing complex issues, challenging constructively, and contributing to investor protection outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client assurance reviews and monitoring activities to assess the effectiveness of governance, risk, and control frameworks.
  • Identify control weaknesses and support the development and monitoring of remediation plans.
  • Prepare clear, risk-based findings reports and maintain accurate records within internal systems.
  • Support thematic reviews, regulatory reporting, and assurance reporting for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor post-review remediation activities, track progress against agreed timelines and report to the senior management.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and collaborate across the Supervision team to deliver effective oversight.
About You

You are naturally curious, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the confidence to ask the right questions and the judgement to identify potential risks before they become issues. You enjoy building relationships and can communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from operational teams through to senior leadership and boards. You are comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining a high standard of professionalism in a regulated environment. Most importantly, you share our commitment to trust, collaboration, integrity, and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients and their investors.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline. 3+ years' experience in financial services, risk, compliance, audit (internal or external), assurance, supervision, or a related environment. Understanding of financial services regulation, risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated professional scepticism, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to identifying and managing risk. Experience with managed investment schemes, debt securities, non-bank deposit takers, or other regulated financial products is advantageous.
