Te Raekura Redcliffs School is seeking a couple of dynamic, highly motivated teachers to join our junior and senior teams. Our stunning kura overlooks Te Ihutai / Avon-Heathcote Estuary and is located on a culturally significant site that grounds and inspires our learning vision.

This is an exciting opportunity for two teachers (looking for Y1–2 and Y7–8) to join our vibrant school community. We have awesome students, really supportive whānau and board and a motivated team committed to helping every learner and staff member thrive in our place. Plus, the views from your classroom are like nowhere else.

We are looking for teachers who:

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture and environment where all learners feel supported and inspired
  • Have strong curriculum knowledge and a passion for teaching the younger years / intermediate years
  • Bring creativity, a sense of humour and a solutions-focused mindset to challenges
  • Have skills in using and developing digital fluencies with their students
  • Demonstrate a commitment to te reo and Tikanga Māori and seek to be more culturally responsive within their own practice
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of our school community, which is an authentic and awesome part of who we are as a kura.

For our junior position, we'd love a teacher to apply with strengths and experience understandingthe importance of supporting emotional regulation as a key part of junior years learning, working proactively to help our kids develop these skills in their formative learning experiences.

In our senior position, we'd love a teacher to apply who 'gets' the social and emotional characteristics of pre-adolescent learners and has some experience in leading learning in a Y7–8 environment.

If you'd like to know more about our kura you're welcome to get in touch and come out to Redcliffs for a look around during the school week.
