The role

You will:

  • Plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning programmes for your class in line with the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, engaging classroom where all students are encouraged to achieve their personal best
  • Embed and model te reo me ōna tikanga Māori in daily practice and support our cultural journey as a school
  • Collaborate with staff to strengthen our values and support whole school initiatives
  • Use assessment to guide and adapt teaching, ensuring every student is making progress.
We are looking for someone who
  • Is a NZ registered teacher with proven experience in primary classrooms
  • Has excellent communication and relationship skills with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
  • Demonstrates commitment to te reo me ōna tikanga Māori and culturally responsive practices
  • Shows strong classroom management and student engagement strategies
  • Works well in teams and contributes positively to school life outside the classroom.
