Job summary

Makauri School in Gisborne is seeking a collaborative educator to join Year 1 in a 0.55 FTTE fixed-term job-share role for the 2027 school year.

The successful candidate will contribute to foundational literacy and numeracy instruction, support pastoral care, and work within a team that values strong partnerships with families. This 0.5 FTTE position runs from February to December 2027 with days to be confirmed.

About the role

A fantastic opportunity exists for a skilled and collaborative educator to join our teaching team in a 0.55 FTTE fixed-term job-share role in a Year 1 class for the 2027 school year.

This position is available due to a permanent staff member taking board-approved leave for 2027. Days of work will be confirmed with the successful applicant and job-share partner.
