Job summary

A primary school in New Zealand is looking for a certificated teacher to join their collaborative team. The role involves teaching various subjects including English and Mathematics to students in Years 1-8. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of structured literacy and experience supporting diverse learners, along with creative strengths to enhance integration across the curriculum. Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

Teaching subjects include: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, and The arts.

At Temuka Primary, we’re a collaborative team that values the unique skills, ideas, and strengths each person brings. Knowledge of structured literacy and the refreshed maths curriculum is important, but we’re happy to support the right person to grow in these areas.

Experience supporting diverse learners – including those with additional or behavioural needs – would be an advantage.

Our team has a strong base in sport, but we’d love to complement that with someone who brings creative strengths in STEM/STEAM or who enjoys integrating learning across different curriculum areas.
