A local primary school in Auckland is seeking a certificated teacher to join their collegial staff. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding people skills, expertise in the refreshed NZ Curriculum, and be culturally responsive with knowledge of te reo Māori. Experience with structured literacy approaches and Numicon is a plus. This role focuses on teaching in a Phase 2 classroom, promoting a supportive environment for students.
Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher
We are looking for a wonderful human being. You will have outstanding people skills with an ability to build and maintain strong connections with ākonga and whānau.
You will be a expert teacher with a good understanding of the refreshed NZ Curriculum, and have knowledge of either BSLA or Liz Kane structured literacy approaches. Experience in Numicon would also be a benefit. You will be a culturally responsive teacher with te reo and mātauranga Māori knowledge.
We are a small school with a supportive community. You will be part of a collegial staff who look after each other. This position will be in a Phase 2 classroom.
