Job summary

Big Chill Distribution in Blenheim is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver to join our team, delivering chilled and frozen goods across our network.

You will work Monday to Friday from 4:00am, bringing strong customer service, safety and compliance to every delivery, with forklift operation as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified Class 5 driver with at least 2 years' experience.
• Experience in temperature-controlled transport (frozen/chilled).
• Forklift certification (OSH).

Responsibilities

• Delivery and pickup of chilled and frozen products.
• Assist Stores team with loading/unloading preparation.
• Collaborate with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Class 5 Driver to join our team. Ideally you will have at least 2 years' experience driving Class 5 as well as experience in temperature-controlled transport, as you will be working with chilled and frozen goods.

Being the face of Big Chill out on the roads, you will also bring to our team excellent communication and customer service skills.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday starting at 4:00am based in our Blenheim Branch.

Key responsibilities include

• Delivery and pick up of chilled and frozen products
• Providing assistance to the Stores team to present product for loading/unloading
• Collaborating with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries
• Compliance in delivery times and temperature control of customer goods

About You

• Qualified Class 5 driver with at least 2 years' experience
• OSH Forklift Operator certified with experience operating a forklift
• Experience working in frozen/temperature-controlled environments
• Demonstrable organisational and time management abilities
• Committed to delivering exceptional customer service at all times
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Compliance.
