Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 license or ability to obtain one within 3 months.
• Experience operating vehicles with different transmissions.
• Able to operate truck on dirt/track/gravel roads.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery.
• Confident reversing truck and trailer units.
• Knowledge of chaining/unchaining procedures.
• Physically fit for manual tasks.
• Clean driving record and focus on safety.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-duty log trucks to transport timber from logging sites to port facilities.
• Navigate forestry roads and public highways under varying terrain and weather conditions.
• Oversee loading and securement of logs for stability during transport.
• Coordinate with loading machinery operators at forest sites and ports.
• Follow road transport, forestry safety, and port regulations.
