Job summary

Vulcan in Hamilton is seeking a reliable, hands-on team member to join our busy Stainless warehouse. The role combines full-time truck driving and warehouse work with 6.30am starts, Monday to Friday, and no weekend work.

You will operate Class 4 trucks, load and unload steel products, and support warehouse tasks. A clean driving record and forklift licence are essential, with on-the-job training and career opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Full Class 4 licence with a clean driving record (essential).
• Experience delivering and loading steel products (advantageous).
• Valid forklift licence and practical operating experience.
• Physically fit for regular manual handling.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated and teamwork‑focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 4 trucks safely and in line with NZ regulations.
• Load, secure, and unload long steel products, steel sheet, and other steel fittings.
• Perform regular manual handling, lifting, pushing and pulling tasks.
• Ensure all load documentation is complete and accompanies the freight.
• Assist with general store and warehouse duties when required.
• Morning runs around Te-Rapa area.
• Afternoon runs Mon/Wed/Fri as far east as Waihi, and Tue/Thu as far south as Te-Kuiti.

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, hands‑on team player to join our busy Hamilton Stainless warehouse in a role that combines full time truck driving and some warehouse work. Monday to Friday, 6.30am start until finish - solid hours and no weekend work.
