The Department of Conservation (DOC) in Wellington is seeking an Official Information and Government Services Advisor to support timely responses to Official Information Act requests and Ministerial servicing.

You will work across DOC and Ministers' offices to gather information, manage deadlines and risks, and deliver high-quality responses, including Parliamentary Questions and proactive releases.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machinery of government, Ministerial and Parliamentary processes, and Official Information Act, Privacy Act and Public Records Act.
• Strong organisational and information skills to coordinate end-to-end delivery of Official Information Act requests, Ministerial advice and correspondence, Parliamentary Questions, proactive releases and related information requests.
• A track record of delivering high-quality, accurate work and strong attention to detail.
• Sound judgement and analytical thinking to assess information, risks, and communicate key messages to leadership.

Responsabilités

• Prepare timely, accurate responses to Official Information Act requests and related inquiries.
• Coordinate Ministerial advice, correspondence, and Parliamentary Questions.
• Support proactive releases and information requests across DOC and Ministers’ offices.
• Maintain effective information flow between directors and teams, managing deadlines and risks.
