Rob Law Max Recruitment in Wanaka seeks an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day civil earthworks operations across active sites. You will manage crews, subcontractors, and plant, coordinating with Project Managers and Engineers to keep works on schedule.

The role requires strong leadership, plan-reading ability, and a solid understanding of NZ Health and Safety requirements. On-site work with occasional longer hours to meet deadlines is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising civil construction or earthworks projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of NZ Health and Safety requirements.
• Ability to read plans and manage site quality processes.
• Experience with site reporting and safety systems.
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site crews, subcontractors, and plant operators across active work areas.
• Coordinate daily works and construction programmes with Project Managers.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements and NZ legislation.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, inspections, and audits.
• Maintain site documentation, quality records, and daily reporting.
• Monitor plant usage, safety compliance, and resource allocation.
• Ensure work is completed to specification, on time, and to quality standards.
