Job summary

Beca is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Hastings team to lead and deliver a broad range of infrastructure projects across three-waters, transport and land development. You will work with local and wider teams, growing your skills and taking ownership of project outcomes in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes practical problem solving, proactive communication and a commitment to delivering high-quality client outcomes in the Hawke’s Bay region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a consulting or construction environment.
• Qualification in Civil Engineering and working towards Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineering New Zealand.
• Experience in general civil design and construction observation of three-waters and road/transport projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects on time and within budget while meeting client needs and expectations.
• Communicate proactively with team members, managers and clients about progress and deliverables.
• Contribute from conceptual design through to detailed design, procurement and construction.
• Develop technical capability, engineering judgement and design expertise.
• Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships for ongoing and repeat business.
