Job summary

Mekano Talent is seeking a Civil Engineer to join a well‑established, multi‑disciplinary consultancy active in Environmental, Geotech, Civil, Structural and Surveying. The Tauranga office sits near the beach with a steady pipeline of land development and infrastructure work.

You’ll contribute from feasibility through to construction, collaborating with clients, contractors and councils while enjoying mentoring from a Tauranga‑based Principal Engineer, a flexible career path, relocation support

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
• 2+ years’ experience in a NZ civil engineering consultancy
• NZ residency or citizenship and a full driver’s licence
• Exposure to construction methods and NZ standards
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills

Responsibilities

• Civil design from concept through to construction on land development and infrastructure projects
• Designing stormwater, wastewater, water supply, roading and earthworks
• Preparing calcs, drawings, specs and technical documentation
• Construction observation and contract administration support
• Local, NZ-wide and international projects, with travel across the Pacific Islands and South East Asia
• Exposure to structural, geotech, survey and enviro work alongside the wider team

Job description

We're hiring a Civil Engineer to join a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy working across Environmental, Geotech, Civil, Structural and Surveying.

Their office is a stone’s throw from the beach, right in the heart of the Mount, and with a busy, stable pipeline of land development and infrastructure work, they need another Civil Engineer on the team.

You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and due diligence through to design and construction. You’ll have a real say in project decisions, work directly with clients, contractors and councils, and get across a bit of everything along the way.
