Civil Engineer - Southern Transport and Infrastructure

We are looking for Civil Engineers to join our dedicated and passionate team in either our Christchurch, Dunedin or Queenstown offices to work with key clients in the transport infrastructure sector. Project work typically encompasses medium to large projects across the South Island, but you will also have the opportunity to work on other projects throughout Aotearoa and across the Pacific.

Each day will bring challenge and variety and overall, as a Civil Engineer you can expect to:

  • Deliver projects on time and to budget, while meeting clients’ needs and expectations
  • Communicate proactively and positively ensuring that team members, managers and clients are well informed of your project tasks.
  • Collaboratively undertake conceptual designs through to detailed design, contract procurement and construction administration with a small team
  • Proactively take on learning opportunities to improve your technical skills, design process and explore new technology
  • Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills
  • Develop and mentor others to grow successful careers
  • Foster client relationships that contribute to repeat business

Ko wai koe | About you

Your passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work as a team on meaningful and significant multidisciplinary projects. You will also:

  • Have a qualification in Civil Engineering with two to five years previous experience in a consulting or construction environment, working on infrastructure projects
  • Have an interest in road and transport design, general civil site design and/or stormwater
  • Bring a ‘can do’ attitude and enjoy working in teams.
  • Be passionate about learning from others and developing yourself

Although not essential, if you have some knowledge or experience in design packages like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads, or 12D, we would love to hear about it. We also like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humour will hold you in good stead.
