This role involves operating excavators and trucks, installing ducting, wiring high/low voltage cables, and reading plans to plan work sequences. A NZ driver's license and willingness to pursue an apprenticeship are essential, with preference for STMS/Class 2 and drilling experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid NZ driver's license.
• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand (citizen/resident).
• Aptitude for electrical work.
• Motivated to transition to an apprenticeship.
• STMS/Class 2 license and drilling experience are preferable.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator and tipper trucks for civil, trenching and excavation works.
• Install ducting for power mains and services in accordance with standards.
• Install high and low voltage cables in trenches or ducting.
• Assist Lines personnel with electrical equipment installations per codes and regs.
• Read plans and orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs/ installations.
• Operate power/hand tools and other specialised equipment.
• Participate in site and company meetings as required.
• Develop positive working relationships with other employees and clientele.
• Proactively communicate any issues that may hinder completion.
