Veolia Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Civil Construction Operator to deliver three waters capital works across site-based projects in New Zealand. The role focuses on construction delivery, safety, and timely completion of project milestones, with emphasis on high-quality workmanship and effective communication with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Relevant hands-on trade specific experience.
• Exposure to the water and/or waste water industry and basic understanding of various water treatment technologies and processes is preferable.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues and contractors and to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to fault find on damaged 3 waters infrastructure.
• Civil works and operation of various plant including excavators.
• Class 2 and 4 trucks.
• Proven problem solving skills and proposed methodologies.
• Motivation and enthusiasm, a keen eye for detail and a desire for excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support the capital works team on site to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of all project deliverables.
• Execute all aspects of capital works projects from establishment through to completion.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures to maintain a zero-harm work environment.
• Coordinate with Team Lead, contractors, and internal departments to facilitate seamless project execution and maintain clear communication channels throughout all phases of capital works projects.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain accurate on site project documentation.
