Job summary

CHT Halldene is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse to join our friendly Red Beach care home. You will work Saturday and Sunday afternoons, delivering resident-centred nursing care in a supportive team with a relaxed coastal setting.

We value compassion, collaboration, and ongoing learning. A NZ RN practising certificate is required, with IT systems experience and a passion for elder care.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Registered Nurse practising certificate.
• Compassion and a passion for caring for older people.
• Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Confidence in leading and supporting care staff.
• Collaborative spirit and commitment to continuous learning.
• Comfort using standard IT and clinical systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial and ongoing clinical assessments.
• Plan, deliver and delegate high-quality nursing care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor health changes.
• Review and adjust care plans for safety and effectiveness.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, whānau and allied health professionals.
• Support, mentor and guide our care team.

We're looking for a Part-Time Registered Nurse to work afternoon shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Enjoy a supportive team, a relaxed coastal setting, and the opportunity to make a real difference in residents' lives. To be considered, applicants must have a valid work visa without restrictions.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Registered Nurse with us, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional, resident-centred care. Every day you will:

• Complete initial and ongoing clinical assessments
• Plan, deliver and delegate high-quality nursing care

• Review and adjust care plans for safety and effectiveness
