Job summary

New World Mosgiel is seeking a reliable Chilled and Frozen Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The role involves customer service, shelf filling, and maintaining display standards in our chilled and frozen sections.

You will work Friday and Saturday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, totaling 18 hours per week. Training provided, with emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, and safe working practices. Applicants must be eligible to work in NZ and able to work at least one weekend day.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail role is preferred.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Weekend availability required.
• Physically fit for repetitive lifting.
• Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist with customer enquiries.
• Shelf filling and ensuring displays meet presentation standards.
• Date checking and stock rotation.
• Assist with all duties in the chilled and frozen departments.
• Maintain Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times.
• Cleaning and upkeep of storage and sales areas.

Chilled and Frozen Assistant – Part Time

We are looking for a reliable and responsible team member that can work efficiently with excellent customer services skills who is keen to join our team as a Chilled and Frozen Assistant.

You will be working with a committed and motivated team who prides themselves on the quality products and excellent service we offer our customers here at New World Mosgiel.

Hours of Work

Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm

Saturday 8:00am – 5:30pm

18 hours per week total

Your main duties will include:

• Providing excellent customer service and assisting with customer enquiries
• Shelf filling
• Ensuring shelves and displays meet required presentation standards
• Date checking and stock rotation
• Assist with all other duties that form part of the Chilled and Frozen departments
• Cleaning
• Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times

• Be able to work at least one weekend day
• Flexibility to work extra shifts when required
