Job summary

Ministry of Education in Wellington is seeking a senior People leader to design and implement the organisation's people and workforce strategy. You will align the people function to the Ministry's goals and drive a positive culture that enables growth and performance.

You will lead organisational development, workforce planning, analytics, and HR advisory services, working across executivelevel stakeholders to deliver equity and excellence in education.

Qualifications

• Senior leader responsible for setting strategic direction for a Department's people function.
• Experience delivering organisational and workforce change in large/complex organisations.
• Strong capabilities in organisational development, design and capability improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the Ministry's people and workforce strategy across Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga.
• Oversee human resources activity across the employee lifecycle including OD, people operations, workforce planning and analytics, learning and development, safety and wellbeing, payroll, and IR.
• Drive a programme of culture and capability improvement and strengthen strategic business partnering.
• Support leaders to build ownership for workforce development and planning; promote customer-centric service design.
