The mandate spans cyber security, infrastructure and technology operations, site reliability, application support, data engineering and data governance across SkyCity’s gaming, hospitality, entertainment and corporate operations.

SkyCity Entertainment Group is appointing a Chief Information and Security Officer to lead the functions that protect, sustain and strengthen its enterprise technology infrastructure environment.

The mandate spans cyber security, infrastructure and technology operations, site reliability, application support, data engineering and data governance across SkyCity’s gaming, hospitality, entertainment and corporate operations.

Reporting to the Chief Customer and Digital Officer, the CISO will lead the Group’s security and enterprise technology infrastructure. Working alongside the Group Digital Officer, they will ensure SkyCity’s digital ambitions are supported by secure, reliable and efficient platforms and services.

The opportunity is to bring greater integration and effectiveness across a broad enterprise function. This includes strengthening cyber and operational resilience, improving critical service performance, and supporting technology innovation with expedience.

The CISO will provide clear assurance to executive leadership, the Board and the Audit and Risk Committee, and lead the organisation’s response to significant technology and security incidents.

The brief calls for a grounded, assured leader who remains composed under pressure and acts decisively when required. Intellectually curious and externally connected, they will stay ahead of emerging technology infrastructure and security developments, continually looking for better ways to strengthen services, reduce risk and enable the business. They will build trust across technical and business teams, strengthen accountability and bring people with them through change.

We are interested in established CIOs, CISOs and senior technology executives who bring:

• Leadership experience within a large-scale, complex and continuously operating technology environment.
• Depth in cyber security, enterprise risk and regulatory assurance.
• Substantial accountability for infrastructure, technology operations, service delivery and business-critical applications.
• Experience maintaining resilient 24-hour services and leading the response to major outages or cyber incidents.
• Strong commercial judgement across investment, vendors and operating models.
• Credibility with executives, Boards, regulators and senior business leaders.
• A record of building capable leadership teams and delivering sustained change in complex organisations.

Experience in a regulated, multi-site, customer-facing organisation will be highly regarded.
