The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) is responsible for leading Hamilton City Council’s digital strategy, ensuring the organisation leverages technology, data, and innovation to deliver exceptional services to the community.

We’re seeking a strategic, empowering leader to join our Digital Services team in a pivotal role that will help shape the future of Council’s digital landscape. Reporting to the General Manager – People, Performance and Culture, you’ll be responsible for driving the development and delivery of our digital strategy. Qualifications

  • A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management; or other relevant discipline.
  • At least ten years’ post-qualification experience in an information technology role, ideally in a large, complex business environment.
  • An additional ten years’ experience leading high-performing digital teams, ideally in a large, complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated exceptional leadership skills with a strong record of achievement and the ability to inspire, lead and build capability in teams.
  • Experience implementing large enterprise solutions or other significant digital transformation projects.
  • Experience with Local Authority specific applications and solutions (preferably).
Compensation and Benefits

What’s the salary? Circa $200K dependent on skills and experience.
