CHERRY PICKER WANTED – SUMMER JOB IN CROMWELL

Location: Cromwell & surrounding areas, Central Otago, New Zealand • Season: Summer 25/26 (December - February) • Job Type: Casual, Seasonal Work

Looking for a fun, outdoor job that keeps you fit, earns you cash, and lets you meet people from all over the world? Come pick premium cherries in the heart of beautiful Central Otago!

About the Role

As a cherry picker, you’ll be harvesting high-quality cherries in orchards across Cromwell and nearby locations. The work is physically active and perfect for anyone who enjoys being outdoors and working in a team environment.

What the job involves:

• Picking cherries using a harness and bucket (around 5kg when full)
• Climbing ladders (training provided)
• Being flexible – hours and work schedules can change quickly depending on weather and crop conditions
• Early morning starts (between 6am–7am) – leaving your evenings free to relax
• Piece rate pay – the more you pick, the more you earn! (Minimum wage guaranteed)
• Work across different tree structures for variety and ease of picking
• Working around the weather – we usually don’t pick on rainy days
