Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Lakes invites applications for a Part-time Registered Nurse in the Chemotherapy and Medical Day Stay Unit serving Rotorua and Taupo. The role involves administering chemotherapy and related infusions, assessing patients, and supporting a small collegial team across campuses.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years nursing experience, NZ registration, IV cannulation and port certifications preferred, and must hold a NZ driver’s licence with ability to travel

Qualifications

• Three or more years of nursing experience.
• IV cannulation certification and port certification a plus.
• Assessment skills for treatment side effects.
• Chemotherapy experience a bonus.
• Full NZ driver’s licence and ability to travel to Taupo.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions.
• Monitor patients for adverse effects and safety concerns.
• Provide day-stay nursing care in Rotorua and Taupo units.
• Collaborate with oncologists/haematologists and support staff.
