Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora’s Haematology Day Stay unit in Christchurch is seeking an empathetic Registered Nurse. You will care for patients with haematological diagnoses receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy, including infusions of blood products and diagnostic support.

This fast-paced role focuses on patient-centric care and teamwork. The successful candidate will have strong assessment and communication skills, be APC-licensed in NZ, and be prepared to work a Monday–Friday shift

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) in New Zealand.
• Experience in haematology or oncology is advantageous.
• Strong assessment, communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced infusion unit.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with haematological diagnoses undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Administer infusions and monitor responses.
• Assist with pre- and post-care for procedures.
• Provide support to patients and families with information and comfort.
• Ensure accurate documentation and safe IV/CVAD management if required.
