Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Chemical Process Intern to join their team in a fully remote internship program. This role offers students hands-on experience in data analysis, process simulation, and documentation, working closely with experienced engineers in a virtual setting.

You will gain insight into industrial chemical processes, sharpen analytical and communication skills, and receive mentorship, a stipend, and flexible remote scheduling while supporting process improvement

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in data collection, analysis, and reporting for process improvements.
• Support development and refinement of process simulation models.
• Prepare technical documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute ideas for process optimization.
• Conduct literature reviews on relevant chemical engineering topics.
• Perform other duties to support the team’s objectives.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing process improvement projects.
• Support the development and refinement of process simulation models using industry-standard software.
• Help in preparing technical documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute ideas for process optimization.
• Conduct literature reviews on relevant chemical engineering topics and technologies.
• Perform other assigned duties to support the chemical engineering team's objectives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles and processes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exposure to process simulation software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively remotely .
