Overview

MUNCH Korean Fried Chicken is a well-established restaurant on Lincoln Road, Henderson, West Auckland. We are currently seeking a chef who loves and is passionate about K-chicken (Korean style fried chicken dishes) to join our busy team. If you are passionate about Korean fusion cuisine, especially K-chicken or related dishes and have a great work attitude, we would love to hear from you.

Hourly rates: $30-35 per hour

Employment type: Full-time, permanent

Operate 7 days from 10:30am - 9:30pm (roster will be set and the successful applicant must be available to work on weekends)

Minimum hours per week: 35 hours

Maximum hours per week: 45 hours

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to food preparation and kitchen management with a focus on the K-chicken element.
  • Preparing and marinating meats and food ingredients
  • Professional cooking: deep frying, grilling and smoking
  • Making sauces and side dishes
  • Handling food ingredients to the highest hygienic standards
  • Researching market trends and developing new menus and recipes
Qualifications
  • Experience in food preparation and skills in cooking foods at a K-chicken restaurant
  • Demonstrable professional skills and knowledge in K-chicken and Korean cuisine
  • Ability to work shifts, over weekends, and on public holidays
  • Experience in performing tasks independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Honest, reliable, dedicated and positive
  • Chef experience of min 3 years+
  • Similar kitchen experience of min 1 year+
